Hey, Raven here.

It has been a long time since anything happened on the site. We have all been busy with our lives, and Spoons have gotten a bit in the background. But, I will try to spend some time increasing the activity.

We have a Facebook page you can like. There are also a few of our members there, you may be able to get in touch with them. Spoons Chat is now completely open, we decided to not let our paranoia keep us from sharing our awesomeness with the world.

I will ask the admins of Spoons to write a post about themselves, so you can get an idea of who we are. We will be the ones to help you with any issues you have with either the chat, or the other members, for that matter. We do try to resolve issues without bans, so don’t think we will ban anyone just because you don’t get along.

Any questions? Contact me on my e-mail.

Best regards,

~Raven~

Spoons FM Episode 13 “Fallout Unleashed Reach”

Written by WolfenVic. rev="post-65" No comments Posted in: Spoons FM

This week we fall down the rabbit whole with Wolfen, Spork, and Amber as everything from Red Dead Redemption to Fallout New Vegas is discussed. Join us for a show where video games are the name of the game.

The theme for this show was “Glitches and Dealing with Them.” It doesn’t get entirely discussed but it does get mentioned a few times.

Spoons FM ” Zombies”

Written by WolfenVic. rev="post-61" No comments Posted in: Spoons FM

Halloween might have come and gone but this Zombie themed show fits perfect for it. With various media taking on the zombie mythology, is this the new vampires in movies? How about when a real apocalypse hits, what do you have planned?

Personally I know the Spoons FM crew will be ready with their axes and shotguns when it hits. So sit back and enjoy the hour and a half long show. Maybe even subscribe to us on Itunes and leave a nice review.

The Dwarves Review

Written by WolfenVic. rev="post-46" No comments Posted in: Book Reviews

I have mentioned this book quite a few times on Spoons FM and I must say I am pleased to finally be writing a review of it.

This was a book that was rather forced on me before I got to play WoW by my uncle. I read some of his other books before I finally stopped going around it and started reading it. I believe I finally started in November 2009.

The trip has been a long and tedious one for me and for the main character Tungdil. A trip where he and I fought through Girdlegard and we both prevailed. His journey felt to me like it took years to complete when I believe in reality it only took a few seasons for him. I on the other hand felt for the first time like I had read a long epic story.

I had at times hated the idea of reading it, even once went a month without even looking at it but finally it won me over and the story picked up speed, literally. The books tone and emotions were strong and sometimes savage as it beat into me the harshness of the reality in this world the author had created.

The characters were a mix of oddities that end up entertaining. Even when you think you meet the most useless characters that you will just throw off you find something more inside their roles. It is even mentioned once in the story about the idea of how odd everything falls together and how everything has been happening for a reason.

So as the first review on Spoons I am proud to say I give this book a 7 out of 10. With a slow beginning this book will keep you reading, even when you wish to turn your eyes away, and will force into your mind some very memorable characters.

Now I’d like to mention why I gave it a 7. You’d assume from my raving I’d give it a higher score. Sadly that is not the case. Where the story previals it lacks. With brilliant characters comes those weird names that are hard to remember, and those names that blend together till you read what they say.

I also have to point out that the book is over 700 pages long and while the story itself is epic I am curious as to why it had to be so long at times. Some sections could definitely been shortened while others I wish had been lengthened. Overall it’s alright but those of you who notice this will get an irritating eye twitch.

I also would like to mention this is a book you will read and afterwards feel proud to have read. While also hating the fact it leaves you off wanting the sequel. I have a hard times with books that blatantly put before you a new plot just as the story ends.

Overall, as I stated before, I give this a 7 out of 10.

Spoons Website

Written by Raven. Comments Off on Spoons Website Posted in: Global

This website is currently under construction. We are still working out some of the details on how to get it the way we want it.

What we do know, is that it will be a site dedicated to ourselves and some of our mutual interests; books, games, movies and ourselves. We are our biggest fans, afterall.
